A Red8Pre Thunderbolt 2 és egy dual mini-DigiLink csatlakozó segítségével a legsokoldalúbb barátod lesz a Core Audio vagy ProTools HD alkalmazásaidban. A RED Evolution előfokok tökéletes átvitele -129dB EIN és 63dB előerősítési tartománnyal rendelkezik megfelelő tartalékot biztosítva a külső processzáláshoz. Az előfokok digitálisan távvezérelhetők - beállításokhoz és mentésekhez - a Focusrite Control szoftveren keresztül. Tartalmazzák a különleges Air funkciót is amely az ISA család transzformátoros előfokainak hangját hozza vissza. Az Air bekapcsolásával a mikrofon impedancia 2,1kΩ értéken áll, az átvitel pedig egy közép magas emelést tartalmaz analóg jelúton keresztül.

A RED 8 Pre dinamika tartománya, torzítási faktora, zajszintje és konverziós késleltetése teszi egyedülállóvá a kategóriájában: a 24bit/192kHz mintavételezéssel és 118dB(A-D)/121dB (D-A) dinamikával ideális felvételi eszközzé válik. Az előfokok ≤0.0009% THD+Noise paramétere és 20Hz to 35kHz ±0.25 dB átvitele pedig nem hagy kétségeket a felvételi láncban.
